Understanding Our Customers

As a STEM Tech Club Presenter, it’s essential to recognise who our customers are and their expectations. This understanding will help you deliver sessions that meet everyone’s needs and uphold the professional standards of STEM Tech Club.

Our Customers

  1. The School
The school is our primary client, as they have booked us to run STEM sessions on their premises. Their expectations include:
    • Educational Value: Sessions should provide meaningful STEM learning experiences aligned with co-curricular goals.
    • Fun and Engagement: Activities should be enjoyable, fostering enthusiasm for STEM among students.
    • Safety: All sessions must be conducted in a safe and well-supervised environment.
    • Care for Premises: The premises and classrooms used for sessions must be respected, maintained, and left in the same condition they were found.
    • Proper Use of Resources: School property must not be used for club activities unless explicitly authorized. All materials and tools for the sessions should come from STEM Tech Club.
  2. The Parents and Children
Parents have paid for their child’s place in the club, making them key stakeholders. Their expectations include:
    • Learning Opportunities: Children should gain new knowledge and skills in STEM through hands-on projects.
    • Fun and Memorable Experiences: Sessions should be engaging and exciting, leaving children eager to return.
    • Take-Home Working Projects: Each session should result in a working project that children can proudly take home to share their learning experience with their families.
    • Safe Environment: Parents trust us to provide a secure, supportive space for their children to learn and grow.

Your Role in Meeting Customer Expectations

As a presenter, you bridge the gap between these stakeholders by:

  • Balancing Fun and Learning: Deliver sessions that are both educational and entertaining.
  • Maintaining Safety Standards: Ensure all activities are conducted safely and responsibly.
  • Respecting School Property: Follow all guidelines for classroom use, avoid using school resources, and leave the premises in excellent condition.
  • Facilitating Take-Home Projects: Ensure every child successfully completes a working project they can proudly take home.
  • Providing Excellent Communication: Be approachable and professional when interacting with school staff, parents, and students.

By understanding and addressing the needs of both the schools and the parents/children, you help build a positive reputation for STEM Tech Club while delivering exceptional experiences.
